Please read below some of the teachers who have inspired and encouraged me over the years. The essence of their methods are integrated throughout the philosophy and practicality of my school.

Audrey de Vos

Audrey De Vos (1900-1983), born in England, opened her ballet studio in the 1930’s in Linden Gardens, London, where she taught for the next 40 years. In her work, de Vos developed a revolutionary approach to ballet and was an inspiration to many within the ballet world.

Marjorie Davies

Marjorie Davies, Daphne Peterson and Joyce Pearcey of the Bush Davies School were my teachers in 1949. This school really taught me style,  'epaulement' and presentation and the joy of dance!  It was an inspiring atmosphere. I remember we would even dance in the lunch break and at the beginning of a new term I would be the first one waiting at the door with my suitcase  totally focused and passionate to learn. In 1954 I was awarded the 'Adeline Genee Gold Medal', one of the highest honours today.
